Dr. Berg teaches you a great technique to release upper neck tension by stretching muscles of the hyoid bone.
SPECIAL NOTE: When you do this stretching technique, make sure you keep your hand stationary on your neck. Do not rub up. There are 2 arteries called the carotids that run parallel to your neck muscles and you would not want to close them off and feel dizzy. Instead, keep your hand fixed on the neck and stretch your neck back and forth without rubbing your hand up the front part of the neck.
